There are two paths the donated material follows:
- 1. Re-sold to secondary markets
The material is received in a secure facility in Central London, where it will be de-labeled, categorized and then shipped out. Every kilo of stock received is put in the computer system where each kilo can be monitored in terms of who and how its processed, who de-labels it and which market it is eventually going to go to. Everything is processed digitally, and is based on the kilo.
We can later provide reports on how much of your company`s stock went to which industry.
We have agreements in place with companies specializing in the destruction of Intellectual Property, thus thoroughly protecting the garment brand name. - 2. Recycling
The material is inspected by someone from FASHIONAID deeming it unsellable. This material is then being shipped to our partner recycling factories, where it is going to be destroyed.
